How much does it cost for Early College Credit?
The cost for Dual Credit, Credit by Proficiency and Credit by Exam courses are $31 per credit hour. So if your math class was 5 credit hours, then that class would cost $155. This rate is less than 1/3 the cost for BMCC students not in the Early College Credit Program. ECC is a great way to earn the credits you need at a substantial savings.
The cost for Expanded Options courses is the normal tuition rate of $96 per dollars per credit hour. Typically your high school will be paying for courses taken through the Expanded Options program. Sometimes they even pay for fees and books. You will want to check with your high school adviser or ECC Liaison to find out what Expanded Options opportunities your school offers.
How do I register?
If you have never taken classes at BMCC go to the ECC Student/Parent webpage on the BMCC website and click on “Get Registered” from the active index. Then you will click “Create your student account.....” and complete each step adding the personal information needed to create your student record. Now that you have a record you may register for your BMCC ECC courses. If you are taking classes from college instructors through Expanded Options your will choose "Register for Classes" from the resource menu in your Wolfweb account. Then you can use the search tool to find the course you are wanting to register for. If you are wanting to take Dual Credit courses from your high school teacher, you select "Register with a permission code" and then enter the special permission code which your high school teacher has given you to register for that class BMCC courses.

When do I register?
It depends on the type of ECC course you are taking. See our Student/Parent ECC calendar for a year look at important dates which include registration dates. You will notice that this calendar is color coded for the different types of ECC opportunities. How do I know the Drop Deadline and Payment Due Date for each term?

It is important to understand that late registration, drops and withdraws will not be allowed. Set yourself some reminders so that you don’t miss any important deadlines.
How do I drop a college class?
To drop an ECC course, you will need to log on to your BMCC Wolfweb account. Then you will click on the link for “drop or withdraw from class/(es)”. The system will guide you through the process of indicating which course you want to drop and then dropping the course. Always view your new schedule any time you add, drop or withdraw from a class to verify that changes were completed. If you have any issues or questions you can contact our ECC staff by phone or email.
Is there a refund?
You would get a full refund if you drop your classes prior to the drop deadline. If you get rid of a class after the drop deadline it is considered a Withdraw, and you would not get a refund.
Also, because ECC Credit by Exam is a challenge exam, it is not eligible for refunds at any time.
How can I find out which classes are eligible for college credit?
Go to the“Course List/Reports” page from the ECC homepage. Click on your high schools link and it will take you to a page which shows what classes are available at your high school. Work with your high school counselor or teachers to see if the high school classes you are scheduled for are eligible for ECC credit and if ECC is a good fit for you. Find out who your high schools BMCC ECC liaison is and visit them for details on ECC opportunities.
I didn't register for the college credit last year; is it too late?
NO! To get started with ECC work with your school to find out what ECC courses are offered and if your high school class is eligible ask your teacher how to get started and if ECC would be a good fit for you. It is simple after that. You go to the Student/Parent page of our BMCC ECC website. Click on “Get Registered” and choose the button that describes you (New to ECC, or Returning ECC student). Our system will guide you through the rest of the way. If you need help you can ask your teacher, connect with your high schools BMCC ECC Liaison or contact our ECC staff by phone or email.
Should I wait until I know my grade before I register?
No. The registration deadlines are final, so you will need to decide if the ECC course is right for you and then register prior to that deadline. See our Student/Parent calendar for registration dates. Late registrations, drops, withdraws will not be allowed!
Should I wait until my senior year to register for all my eligible courses?
No. If you wait until your senior year you may miss out on many ECC opportunities. Check with your teachers, counselor or one of our ECC staff as soon as possible to start making a plan of action in getting a jump start on achieving your college goals.
How will I know I've received the college credit?
First, it is always a good idea to print your schedule after you have registered online so that you can be sure you are added to the correct ECC courses. Courses you “thought you registered for” cannot be added after the registration deadline.
At the end of each term, you will want to check your registration history by logging on to your student Wolfweb account (choose Registration History from the Resource Menu) to make sure that your ECC courses are showing on your transcript. If you have any questions regarding your transcript, you will want to contact our ECC staff.
How will I know if these credits will transfer to my choice of college?
Many colleges accept ECC credits, but the only way to know for sure which of your ECC credits your college of choice will accept is to work with that colleges Student Services. Each college has their own processes for reviewing transfer credits, so contact your college of choice early so that there is plenty of time for them to process your request.
