Baker City Open House Draws Crowds to New Building

The highly anticipated Baker City Open House, held at their brand-new facility on April 23rd, proved to be a resounding success, attracting a whopping 212 visitors. The event, which welcomed local Baker High School students alongside members of the community, showcased the updated amenities and offerings of the new building.

Guests were treated to informative tours, providing a firsthand look at the modern infrastructure and facilities within the premises. The interactive sessions were particularly engaging for Baker High School students, who had the opportunity to learn more about the institution and its educational programs through insightful presentations.

One of the highlights of the event was the raffle draw, featuring enticing prizes from popular local businesses. Lucky winners walked away with gift cards from Eagle Cap Grill, Charley’s Delicatessen, Sūnn Juice + Décor, and The Attic, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already vibrant gathering.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming support and turnout we received for our Open House,” expressed Jeff Nelson, Director of BMCC Baker City. “It was heartwarming to see members of our community, including enthusiastic Baker High School students, exploring our new building and engaging with our team.”

The event also received a significant boost from the presence of Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC) students, staff and alumni, who turned out in full force to show their support. Their participation contributed to making the Open House a memorable and successful affair.
