Pendleton, OR- Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC) proudly announces that Mark Browning, President of BMCC, has been appointed to the prestigious Commission on Small and Rural Colleges by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

In a notification received from the Board of Directors of the AACC, President Browning was informed of this significant appointment. The term for this commission spans from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027. This acknowledgment reflects President Browning’s esteemed reputation, leadership, and dedication to the community college sector.

The Commission on Small and Rural Colleges plays a pivotal role in the AACC’s decision-making process, ensuring the interests of member institutions are well-served. President Browning’s insights and leadership are expected to make a substantial impact, enhancing the Board’s effectiveness in meeting the diverse needs of AACC member institutions.
