PENDLETON, OR. – The Feves Gallery at Blue Mountain
Community College is pleased to present Art About

popular exhibit is coordinated by Oregon State University’s
College of Agricultural Science and is finishing its tour around
Oregon at BMCC. The show features works from 52 artists
across the Pacific Northwest.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception on
Thursday, October 15, from 4:00-6:00 pm. An introduction
to the show will be at 5:00 pm, including brief remarks by
Owen Premore, the Directing Curator of the Art About Ag
program at OSU. The exhibition will be on view until
Wednesday, November 25, 2026.

Art About Agriculture Touring Exhibition 2026: Field Report presents fine art and craft that explores visual storytelling inspired by agricultural experiences and observation. Personal story, history, heritage, mythology, poetry, research, and data support one of our most thematically rich and materially diverse exhibitions to date. This juried touring exhibition features the work of 52 artists representing 35 counties throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
Inspired by the processes of growing food or producing fiber, the art within the exhibition was all made in appreciation of the work it takes to create the resources our lives depend on. The original Art About Agriculture exhibit was made in 1983 and was the first touring exhibit with an agricultural theme.
The works in this exhibition were selected from over five hundred submissions, and reviewed by
a panel of jurors with connections to the arts or agriculture from each of the host towns. Pendleton is represented by both several artists and two of the jurors. Visitors will notice several
local artists, including artist and wheat rancher, Shari Dallas, and current BMCC student, Julie
Dyer of Cove, Oregon.
This exhibit began at the Giustina Gallery at OSU in Corvallis, then the Josephy Center for Arts
and Culture in Joseph, followed by the Grants Pass Museum of Art in Grants Pass; BMCC is
thrilled to be the show’s fourth and final host venue.
The Art About Agriculture exhibition program was established in 1983 as the first annual arts
competition and touring exhibit with an agricultural theme. It celebrates artistry and industry from
a dynamic range of professional and emerging artists; with a new agricultural related theme and
exhibit presented every year. This exhibition program is sponsored by OSU’s College of
Agriculture; to find out more please visit agsci.oregonstate.edu/art.
The Feves Gallery is open to the public Monday—Thursday, 9:30 am—1:30 pm, and is located
in Pioneer Hall on the Pendleton Campus, 2411 NW Carden Avenue. Admission is always free.
