Join Blue Mountain Community College’s Native American Student Alliance Club for the annual Spring Powwow—a day of culture, community, and celebration. May 3rd at the MAC
This event is free and open to the public and is a drug- and alcohol-free gathering.
What to Expect:
- Grand Entries at 12 PM & 7 PM
- Dance contests featuring Traditional, Jingle, and Fancy styles
- Categories for youth, teens, adults, and Golden Age participants
- Host Drum: Buffalo Trail (Wapato, WA)
- Emcees and staff from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation
Dance Contest Categories:
- Jr. Girls/Boys (6–12): $50, $30, $20
- Teen Girls/Boys (13–17): $100, $75, $50
- Adult Women/Men (18–54): $300, $200, $100
- Golden Age Women (55+): Combined – $300, $200, $100
- Golden Age Men (55+): Combined – $300, $200, $100
Drummers:
- Drums welcome (Day pay for first 6 registered drums)
