These SMS Terms of Service govern participation in the Blue Mountain Community College (“BMCC”) SMS Notification Program.
By opting in to receive SMS notifications from BMCC, you agree to receive text messages related to your educational experience and interactions with the college. Messages may include registration notifications, waitlist updates, secure message notifications, student account alerts, reminders, and other academic or administrative communications.
Participation in the SMS Notification Program is voluntary. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of admission, enrollment, or receipt of college services.
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with BMCC and your student status. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan and policies.
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may also manage your SMS notification preferences through the BMCC student portal, where available. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS notifications unless you subsequently re-enroll or reply START to resume service.

BMCC may use third-party service providers to facilitate the delivery of SMS messages. Delivery of text messages is subject to effective transmission by wireless carriers and service providers. BMCC does not guarantee that SMS messages will be delivered on a timely basis or without interruption.
The SMS Notification Program is intended to provide notifications and reminders. Messages may direct students to secure college systems for additional information. Students remain responsible for monitoring official college communications and meeting applicable deadlines regardless of whether an SMS message is received.
BMCC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS Notification Program at any time. BMCC may update these Terms of Service from time to time by posting revised terms on this page.
