GRADUATES

Are you on track to graduate this spring or summer?
BMCC wants to celebrate your achievements!

We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with you!

STEP 1: Complete your Application for Graduation no later than April 21, 2024 to have your name in this year’s Commencement Program. Those applying after April 21, 2024 may participate but will not have their name included in our program. Students are strongly encouraged to complete and return applications at least two (2) terms prior to program completion. There is no fee to apply!

REMEMBER! You must have graduated at the end of Summer or Fall 2023 OR you will graduate at the end of Winter, Spring or Summer 2024.

STEP 2: Order your cap and gown. 

  • Last day to order for shipping to BMCC is April 24, 2024.
  • Last day to order for ship to home is May 12, 2024. An additional shipping charge of $15.95 will apply.


Please note:
If your cap and gown order is shipping to BMCC, you will be notified when your order is ready for pick up. Pick up will be at the Pendleton Campus at the Enrollment Services Window in Morrow Hall.

Faculty/Staff: Steps to Participate in Commencement 2024

All faculty and staff are encouraged to help celebrate our students success by participating in this years ceremony. If you are planning to participate:

STEP 1: Order your regalia online (cost for regalia to be covered by BMCC).

Note: If you already have your regalia, please go to Step 2. The deadline to order online: April 24, 2024.

STEP 2: Confirm your participation:

Faculty & Staff: Please complete the RSVP Form if you plan to participate.

Please plan to arrive at the Convention Center no later than 5:30 pm. You will line up in Rooms 5 & 6 (east rooms). We will line up at 5:50 p.m. and start our processional at 6:00 p.m.

Note: please do not leave anything in the room as the Convention Center staff will be changing the rooms out for another event as soon as we have started our ceremony.

We encourage faculty and staff to visit our graduates in Rooms 1-4 (west rooms). Students will begin check-in at 5:00 pm and will we meet with them briefly at 5:30 p.m. for instructions, etc.

2024 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
  • Graduate Processional – Line Up: Line-up will start at 5:40 p.m. Details will be emailed to all graduates. Please plan to arrive no later than 5:15 p.m. as doors will close briefly at 5:55 pm for our processional and will remain closed until our graduates are seated.
  •  Ceremony Start Time: 6:00 p.m.
  •  Location of Ceremony: Pendleton Convention Center, 1601 Westgate, Pendleton, OR  97801
  • Commencement program to include a list of students that have applied for and are candidates for graduation.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Parking: Parking is free.
  • No ticket required to attend. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to help celebrate our graduates!

Ceremony Information

WherePendleton Convention Center, located 1601 Westgate, Pendleton, OR. 

Program: This program includes a list of students that have applied for and are candidates for graduation.  

When: 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Graduate Check in: Graduates should plan to arrive at the Pendleton Convention Center no later than 5:00 p.m.  Instructions for the ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. so it is important that you arrive early for check-in.

Guests: The doors to the Convention Center will open at 5:00 p.m. and close briefly at 5:55 p.m. for our processional. Once our graduates have been seated we will open the doors for any remaining guests to be seated.

Our ceremony takes approximately 1 hour.

Photos of each graduate receiving and posing with his/her diploma will be taken by Professional Grad Photos. These photos will be available to view/purchase within 36-48 hours after Commencement.
